A Mustang being Built for a Cause
“Emilee’s Race for a Cure”
A Mustang and little girl named Emilee have joined forces. Emilee in 2010 at the age of five was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Since this time she has been under treatment and struggling to live the normal life of a child. With this being said her family has been great support to her. Emilee the trooper that she is has a Mustang Spirit and is pushing ahead. Emilee born into a Mustang family is involved in all parts of caring for the family baby and learning the ropes for caring for the family Pony.
Emilee now nine and her family have teamed up in support of a cure. Brenda Hurt and Swain Hurt are taking their 89 Mustang GT Hatchback and are now preparing it for Show and Bracket racing for the purpose of finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes and to bring awareness to the cause. The Hurt family funding themselves with no sponsors currently at this time. A feat anyone knows in the racing and show world that does not come cheap when converting a ride into a show or race car. The family in order to make this happen are making many sacrifices.
Currently the Hurt family are in the beginning stages of modifying this already astounding beauty into a beast with a mission. They have purchased a truck to pull a trailer and now are in search of the trailer. Also starting the process of preparing the
Swain Hurt will be piloting the ride and Brenda will be acting as Crew Chief with their daughters Emilee and Hailee acting as the up and coming pit crew. All money raised or won through bracket races with go to the JDRF, “Juvenile
